Make a lot of progress fast!

Four 1-hour private sessions with you and your dog- you practice at home in between them!

Lesson #1 How to tell your dog what you like! This lesson opens up an artificial language between you and your dog. Learn eye contact, loose leash walking on and off leash and sit. All commands are taught with both verbal and hand signal cues.

Lesson #2 How to tell your dog what you don’t like! We revisit what we learned on the last lesson and then learn puppy push ups (sit-Down-Sit-Down). Here we learn the 4 respect exercises mandatory for a dog to have good manners.

Lesson #3 Finishing our obedience commands. In this lesson, you learn sit and down stay and come! Plus, we practice all 10 items of the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test you should be able to take after a week of practice. (CGC test is a separate cost below).

Lesson #4 Using our new skills out in the real world! We learn how to transfer all the obedience skills in real life situations. We learn how to praise and correct in public. We learn how to proof the behaviors using distance, duration and distractions.

PlayStayTion Pet Resort and Training offers the AKC Canine Good Citizen exam. The CGC program was designed to reward dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. The program emphasizes responsible pet ownership and good manners for dogs. Dogs that pass receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
