Will my dog be happy and well cared for? He/She is very spoiled!2019-04-28T17:03:29-06:00

Our four-legged students are treated like royalty at PlayStayTion Pet Resort. Your dog will be well-cared for and pampered. Our school is like camp for dogs!

Does your dog training “break their spirit” or “kill their will”?2019-04-28T16:40:58-06:00

No, we use positive reinforcement training that’s fun for dogs! Learning manners only enhances the relationship between you and your dog. Dogs with good manners are included in more activities, allowed more freedom and have more fulfilling lives.

What does 40 years of training really mean to me?2019-04-28T16:48:02-06:00

It means that your pet is in the capable hands of someone with vast experience, who has many different ways of achieving results depending on how your pet likes to learn. Years of experience also produces great timing, making it easy for your pet to get the fast feedback they need to succeed.

What is a day in the life of a dog in training at PlayStayTion?2019-04-28T16:48:38-06:00

Your dog will have a very full day. First he/she will have breakfast. Then, with your permission, your dog will be matched with a buddy and let out onto the play yard. There are forts, pools, bacon flavored bubble machines, giant dog popsicles and lots of toys on the play yard. Afterwards, your dog will enjoy one of the rotating activities such as private agility lessons, golf cart rides, K9 Massage, Doggy Puzzles or Swimming in the Pool. When your pet is relaxed, we will begin school. These lessons are fun for dogs. Somewhere during the day, we’ll get a great photo of your dog having fun and post it on Facebook  that night. At the end of the day, your dog will have dinner and settle in for a relaxing evening with soft lamplight and music.

It’s hard to be away from my pet, will they remember me?2019-04-28T16:49:17-06:00

We have found that the owners have a harder time being away from the dog than the dog has being away from the owner. Here at school, the doggies are very busy all day long. Although they learn so much while they are here, they also have plenty of time to exercise and play. Your dog will absolutely remember you after attending school.

Can I visit my dog while it’s being trained?2019-05-02T21:10:00-06:00

Absolutely! You can come visit your dog anytime while he or she is training with us. No appointments necessary. We are very proud of our operation and invite you to “drop in” on us anytime. However, if you’d like to work with the trainer and your dog, we suggest making an appointment.

What kind of training techniques do you use?2019-05-04T11:21:10-06:00

We use positive reinforcement training that’s fun for dogs! Our trainers are some of the highest credentialed in the nation. We are not a one size fits all training school. We get to know you and your dog. Every training session is tailored to your dog’s unique personality combined with your wants and needs.

Will my dog listen to me if it’s been trained by someone else?2019-04-28T16:52:05-06:00

Yes, we have several trainers at PlayStayTion. Your dog will have training sessions with all of them so that he/she doesn’t get used to responding to just one person. Afterwards, you’ll receive and intensive, one on one, private lesson when your dog graduates. During this time, you will have as much hands on practice with your dog as you need so that your dog is responding appropriately to your commands.

Will my dog listen to me when other things are going on?2019-04-28T16:53:00-06:00

Yes! After we teach your dog the basic commands and we know that he/she completely understands them, we add distractions. We use food on the ground, loose dogs, other people, vehicles and horses  as distractions. Your dog will learn to ignore everything else but your command.
